Xbox HDM boots fine but when I try to enter a command it won't detect the CD. Could this be because I have a SATA CD/DVD drive? I hope not because I only have one IDE header on this board and I'm not sure if Xbox HDM will detect the hard drive if I have a slave drive. Although it should because it's not a hard drive out of an Xbox, so it's not locked. I just need HDM to install Ndure/UnleashX and to lock the new hard drive.

Yes, that's the problem. Try xboxhdm 2.1 instead.

I never knew there was anything beyond 1.9, but I guess there is. I'll give it a try.

After a while of testing I finally got it working off a USB flash drive. Thanks a lot. Sucks though both by 40GB hard drives don't support ATA security. sad.gif

sell 'em on ebay. with the money you make on ebay, buy a newer drive that more than likely will support it.

I doubt anyone would buy them man, 40GB IDEs are pretty much junk these days.
