I just put a new DVD drive on an box with an old dashboard and it gives me the E66 error. What firmware should I put in in order for it to work? I'm not going to update the dash because the box is jtaggable and I want to keep it old. Any ideas what I can do here?

The drive that used to be in there was a BENQ drive. I bough a new drive but it's a hitachi. It works on all of my other xbox 360's just not the ones with old dash.

I won't be doing a jtag. I sell them with just the old dash because it's againts the rules on ebay. I want to put a new drive on here because the old one is bad. Any ideas?

I tried spoofing 2 hitachis before and ended up making them unusable. They wouldn't open or anything but then again I probably did it wrong or something.
