I Just Sucessfully Launched Xbmc On My Xbox360 Options

i done it i have just launched xbmc on my xbox360, it was soo simple i patched avalaunch to boot from disk and put a xbmc folder on the disk after avalaunch booted i went to file manager and coppied the xbmc folder to the e drive then simply clicked the xbmc xbe file and it worked i can now run xbmc im soo stoked i will run some tests and let you all know the feature list

which xmbc version you used programm links ect
(write it more like an tutorial)

i want to try it myself

and im hopefully that that leads to an full functionaly xmbc with 1080p and all we dream of

the version of avalaunch i used was 0.49.3 (patched with the halo title id to make it boot) and the xbmc version was 2.0.1-final-fat-t3ch
i also use modified xefu files that i got from the following irc chat room

i have done a few little tests & xbmc wont launch a movie, picture, or a mp3 + it wont detect a usb thumb drive,
i have not tested booting other apps like evox and things like that should launch the same way i launch xbmc
its late at the moment so im going to finish getting drunk and ill do more testing in the morning, also i have a youtube video as proof that i will upload in the morning
i am more than happy to help everyone else get this working as well so ask any questions you want

so far i have been able to launch all xbmc versions that i have tried and can also launch surreal64 and some xbox1 games in file form from hdd all from selecting the xbe in the avalaunch file manager

some versions of xbmc can run picture files, some can run music files, so far i cant get avi movies to play or gain network access

i think with a little tweaking it is more than possible to get it to play most media files, we just need someone with a little know how to spend a few days with it

yeah all you need to do is use a hex editor the title id is the last 4 bytes before the xbe's name
if you just want to do what i done than download the avalaunch that i already edited with the halo1 title id

How stable is it and have you confirmed it plays movies ?? Can you access the in game Guide while using XBMC ?? Are ANY features broken in it ??

Also, we need to make an XBMC 360 skin now !!

Sorry to say but running XBMC through linux was already done months ago and using modified xefu's / changing title id's to run Xbox 1 homebrew also.. So what's new and you could give credit to the people who made this possible in the first place..

Wrong, someone did get it to boot in Linux Mode, but absolutely nothing worked. Couldnt even navigate in the program, no 3D acceleration etc. And the last time someone tried to modify the xbe code, it didnt work because we werent hacked as we are now.

He at least got it to boot with that, and it's just a matter of time to modify some XBMC code to get Videos playing. He has audio working the program. He said so on eurasia.

Agree + its better to code it to the new xbox 360 SDK C++, allows more features.
