I saw people saying that halo 2 works normally without doing this hack, yet when I try it on my jtag it asks for an update (which requires xbox live), and will sit in black screen if you don't. It works using the same hdd on a retail, so what gives.

So, this let's me start halo 2 from a separate media device as well as from a disk, and then immediately asks for a system update in either case, without a systemupdate folder. When that fails or is canceled it sits in a black screen for eternity...

I have a question regarding backwards compatibility, I recently replaced the hdd on my glitches console with a 500gb one.

I followed this tutorial because I wanted to enable xbox1 compatibility: tutorial

So the drive is formatted correctly i think. Now the only problem I have is installing the backwards compatibility update. Tried the default.xex thats in the tutorial (doesn't work) and also another update, a folder $SystemUpdate containing just this file "su20076000_00000000" and i don't know hot to install that one, tried from usb, burning to cd... It just says mixed media disc. Anyway xbox1 games don't work. If i plug in my old 20gb drive xbox1 games work fine (the backwards compatibility update was installed on that one via live a few years ago).

I have the 13604 dash and I'm using dash launch 2.26. I know dash launch is blocking updates, also tried renaming the update folder to $$ystemUpdate. Also not working.

The error when trying to play an xbox1 game si: X: 5014.0 B: 1884.0

Any advice how to install this update, or at least point me in the right direction...

^the default .xex has to go in the folder where the compatibility files are, at least that's how i remember it.
