It's probably the avatar update, but go and double check the dashboard version that comes up in your settings and try an older game first to get the avatar update.

I have used Bioshock 2 to update two xboxes after jtaging. It put the avatar update on and maybe a few other things I have not noticed. Bioshock 2 has the some dash as xbr so it doesn't update the dashboard. As far as I know there is not a newer dashboard out there. However I did have the r6t3 fixed so I couldn't blow an efuse. Just in case.

Both Metro 2033 and Bioshock may have their own individual game updates, but won't have a dash update, as the new dash isn't out yet So they're both safe.

Allright, thanks! I'll go ahead and install it and play from hdd then. I have the r6t3 resistor removed but i still don't want to screw up the nand.
Just two more questions: Dashboard and kernel updates always goes to nand and burn a fuse to prevent older versions flashed to nand from working, right? Will individual game updates ask if to be installed to internal memory or hdd?

Yeah - dash/kernel updates first 'burn' a fuse-set, writing to the NAND occurs around the same time - hence a couple of years ago, after peeps had removed the R6T3 and tried to get the NXE dash, an E80 occurs (fuse-set not matching/bad write to the NAND due to this).
Game updates generally don't ask where to go - they'll default to the HD cache folder.

Well i just installed Metro 2033 on hdd and it never asked for any kind of update. Nor has any other game i tried, altough most of them has been older. Odd...
