Hi team, I installed a Duo2x GS (blue AMD chip)into my v1.6 and have been having a little trouble.

Sometimes it boots fine, straight into xbmc. other times it boots up but my TV does not receive any signal from the xbox and then other times it just frags.

I used Slayers 2.7 to setup the chip.

Booting up the MS dash works no problem everytime.

What do you guys think the problem might be?

Cheers

check your LPC continuity if you haven't already.
use an ohm-meter, that way you can detect weak connections as well as broken ones.

what exactly do you mean by "used slayer's to setup the chip"?
the blue chip can execute XBE on any version out of the package.
were you flashing to change bootpath?

It almost sounds like you have bad A/V cables. An xbox will behave the same way when you're A/V cables aren't plugged in all the way or have a bad connection to the xbox. But it boot's right to the original dash every time so that's prolly not it.
