Hello all,

If you haven't tried Tiny core Linux, i would definitely recommend you give it a test drive.

Tiny Core Linux

It was put together by someone who used to be a part of the DSL team. It weighs in at just 10mb and boots to a gui and is modular so it is easily customisable, i love it. i have a few modules installed and it boots in 15 seconds!

Now i want this on my xbox, but i am struggling as to how to make this possible?

Tinycore needs a 2.6 kernel, can boot with as little as 48mb of ram.

Someone in the Tiny core forum told me it should boot with a standard 2.6 Linux kernel, as opposed to the tiny core kernel. Does this mean i could replace it with an xbox patched kernel?

any help appreciated.

You'll have to try it to know the results. I compiled the 2.6 kernel with make xbox_defconfig and the resultant .config.

X Windows support is a potential issue. File systems support for cramfs, squashfs and the like (What does TinyCore use?) is another potential area for rework.
