So I succcessfully install Ubuntu 7.10 from the free60 forum, except when I get to the login screen, the display is like messed up. Half of it is shfited to the right, and hal to the left. Mouse doesn't move either. Don't know what's wrong... any idea?

Fixed, on the page where it says what res you want, on free60 it says 1280x768, picked 1024x768, then 1024x768 again @ 60 hz.
Works for me.!

wanted to ask about garbled display ...So just wondering if using HDMI would alleviate having to use VGA on my LCD TV since, I can buy cheap HDMI cables costing roughly less than $5 would it solve the low resolution issues? currently on component I can only go @ 640x480 :s
