Hello

Ive been trying to install dashlaunch 1.0 but without succes. The 360 keeps booting to nxe. Here's what i did so far :

I used freeBOOT_ToolBox_Maker24 to create the image. Dashlaunch nand patch was selected and i used my original dump
---
Created the launch.ini :
[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = Lhdd1:\Freestyle\FreestyleDash.xex

---
Copied flash360 and updflash.bin and the flash_installer to my usb drive
---
Flashed new image to my nand and installed the launch.xex and launch.ini with the flash_installer

I checked everything over and over again but i cant find any errors. I hope someone can help me. Tia!

Ive tried building a image with ibuild but i get the same result. Its either my ini or dashlaunch that fails to work. I saved the ini as utf-8 and the function in the ini should be correct. I will keep checking this thread if someone got a solution, otherwise i will wait for a new version of dashlaunch.

have you tried the following to things:

1. copy the launch.ini file to the root of your HDD

2. inside the dashlaunch zip file there is a file called info_launch.ini, find where it says default and copy the freestyle path in there. save and put that onto the root of the HDD.

i hope thsi helps..........................sudeki300

If you have built your freeboot image with the dashlaunch patches then it's most likely your launch.ini you can also make sure you copied over the flash installer folder and ran default.xex. I would try making a new launch.ini from the sample_launch.ini, when I made mine I just right clicked on sample_launch.ini and choose edit, made like I wanted then choose save as and just saved as launch.ini never changing anything but the save as type to "all files" I left encoding set to ANSI and then ftp'd that to the root of my internal hdd and everything worked fine.

my launch.ini was configured like this

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = LHdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = LHdd:\Freestyle\FreestyleDash.xex

Switching to ANSI fixed the problem, thanks alot! I have another question smile.gif My 360 always seems to first boot to nxe then fsd gets loaded. Is it normal that nxe shows up for 0,5 sec? Cheers!

In your first post you said you also flashed launch.ini to your nand maybe one in the nand and one on the harddrive slowing the boot process down a bit. Now that you have a working launch.ini maybe use flash_installer to update your nand with the newly working launch.ini and remove it from the harddrive and see if that fixes it. Or reflash your system and only load launch.xex to nand instead of both then run the launch.ini from your harddrive. I have only launch.xex in nand and launch.ini on internal harddrive and never see NXE at all.

might be of some use to you or not.

what i did is once i had my ini setup right, stick it with the flasher and update both files, after that copy both files from the flash folder and stick them in the root of hdd1 and now it boots fine.

just a note when looking what to boot first it goes 1st usb 2nd hdd 3rd flash folder.

so i would keep the 2 files on the root on the hdd for quicker booting, also fsd wouldn't boot for me unless i had it on flash as well.
