Is this just for connecting 2 jtags together over system link or can you indeed Sys link a live xbox to my Jtag over Xlink?

This is great. I'm going to start playing borderlands again with my other JTAG friends.

I have not used Dashlaunch, I know its required but can I still boot to NXE and utilize this?

yes you can still boot straight into nxe and this will still work....as long as u have freeboot .032 and dashlaunch 1.0

That's what I'd like to know. I'm assuming the server could be a non jtag user, and the client needs this patch, so you could theoretically have non jtag systems in the mix, but they could only host the game.

I'm hoping that only the client truly needs it and that non-jtag systems can host while jtag'd systems join. If so, that'd make this MUCH more useful for me.

Neat, I don't care too much for it, but I know that this has been a sought after feature for so long.
Good work, look forward to seeing more.

THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME NEWS THIS YEAR. (sorry for the CAPS).

Now we need to be able to run Xlink Kai in the background, making it easy to get system link games running without pc application or other annoying (but greatly appreciated) stuff.

Effin sweet.. i never had a 1st gen xbox.. so i had no clue about this kai stuff until now! the ping limit patch seems to be working just fine.. i have been play MW2 for a little bit. now it would just be nice if i could get my stats from my live gamertag onto the haxbox so i didnt start back at pvt again! =P off to figure that out.. this is the best thing to happen since the jtag hack and sliced bread!

Sweet will test in a bit. Wonder if any-ones playing Section 8. I think they took system link out of Forza 3 which is B$.

Not everyone wants to buy a separate xbox just to play online and there are only a few games supporting system link. Its not really an option.

Well they should. Not *anyone* wants to play on Xbox Live with hackers and cheaters (aside from those who buy into lobbies).

Great News. It won't keep the people who purposefully connect their jtags to live in order to cheat and be a general f*&"wit, but it move most people off live.
Rule 1 of hacking/homebrew... Don't fuck with Private Networks in the process.

While this is true and there are a lot of people that will screw around, I think the majority of those with jtagged consoles simply want an alternative to xbox live to just play normal games.

But this does remind me of the Halo 1 PC days where there were servers with mods on and servers without. It made the online aspect more interesting

This is great news... I could hardly believe it when i saw it on the front page

Wait, how are people connecting to xbox live with a jtagged xbox? I thought if you went online with a jtagged xbox it would be banned in minutes? is that not the case or have people found a way to connect for short period of times? or do they play online, get banned then reflash their nand with a new key taken from dead RROD xbox?
