Has anyone dissassembled the 360 slim hard drive yet im not sure how to pop it open just curious what type it is ie "western digital" "toshiba" etc

rumours say that a microsoft employee said that any 2.5" would fit in the cabinett. and hopefully work too.

anyone tried?

I have opened mine and cut a window to see LEDs I have installed in it. Check out my post in the case forum labeled 360 Slim* and there's no way to put the case of the hdd back on unless you use hotglue or super glue but I'd use hotglue if you decided to open it

Awesome thanks i see its a seagate 5400 RPM has anyone tried a standard 2.5 inch say a 500 GB plus or are the hdd's locked like the old red ringers were? if so ill drop a scorpio black in it i have an extra one from a broken laptop. BTW that 360 slim mod ur doing is looking hot i like it maybe after my warranty is up ill do one of my own

thanks and i havent tried a bigger hdd as i dont have a spare that big and the spares i got i know will work they are just to small for my liking. (20 gig)
