X3 Chip In A 1.6 Xbox.solder Install.cant Get To Flashbios Options

hi, i hope this is in the correct forum place? i have fallowed this very carefully and cant figure out my next plan of action.

im sorry if im a noob to this. im not understanding what bank is what, or why i would use one bank over the other. could someone please point me in the correct direction, i love to read and learn.

1. with all switches turned off it lights up three times and stays flashing red & green with no video on screen

2. if i take the chip off the pins, the xbox will boot up fine with video.

3.hitting both buttons to power up will not make lights purple in flash mode?

Sorry to be a pain in the butt! i can take pictures of anything if it will help

trying all possible switch combos in the 512k banks


ON ON ON OFF OFF = three green flashes,then green & red flashing with no video
blue light on chip and x3 switch panel lit up blue


OFF ON ON OFF OFF = boots fine MS screen. (light on x3 switch panel lit up RED)


OFF ON OFF ON OFF OFF = three green flashes,then green & red flashing with no video,
blue light on chip and x3 switch panel lit up


OFF OFF ON OFF OFF = = three green flashes,then green & red flashing with no video,
blue light on chip and x3 switch panel lit up

opened second chip package and plugged everything in different X3 chip and same thing?

is this a bad solder job?

can this happen from having the wires too long?

i just fixed a thumb drive with 9 traces last week?
got the data and saved the thumb drive with a hot glue shell casing

any ideas i would be most appreciated!

it looks like a 1.6 xbox mainboard.
Did you rebuild the LPC underneath the board?

try hitting the power and eject buttons at the same time to boot the xbox. the X3 switch light should be a purple color.

yes it is the one with Excalibur video chip
going to rebuild the LPC now,thank you

have tried the single and both,
In some switch combination's i get a purple light for a second then all goes blue or red
and the eject light flashing red and green,what should my switches be set to? thank you

here is a pick of the LPC rebuilt with shorter wires
still a no go. if i tap the power button it boots the MS xbox logo fine, red light on switch panel
should there be two blue lights on, On the chip??? 3.3 volt & 5 volt?????
i get a purple light for a second then all goes blue or red???????

Personally, i'll recommend AlladinXT or the Duo modchip for the xbox
