Basicly, Alumapro isnt that much of a big brand overhere! I picked up this Alumapro M16 sub of my supervisor on friday for £225. Its brand new new been run! Quick google and it used to be $4000 Canadian in 2005 i think!

Gotta buy an amp for it, but i'm still browsing and debating what to get/use. Should be a nice stepup from the poor Edge unit that was tempory!

Whats Alumapro like ? I've never personaly heard or them, But i've read lots of things pointing towards Qaulity and a decent sound!

Anyway, Pictures!

We're looking for a suitable amp, Pref Class D, Mono 1000w+rms at 1ohm but there's not too much avaliable that seems nice looking and decent qaulity!

Dnt know the voice coil size. Its Dual 2ohm, but will be wired up at 1ohm.

I can only geuss the coil is Copper if thats what you on about.

Box has got to be between 2.5 and 3.5cubic feet. On the spec sheet it has the ideal box size and dimensions. Will also be Sealed as its more an SQ sub.

The sub is fully rebuildabe. Everything can come apart. its pretty amazing and at 50lbs or 23kgs its a hefty sub too.

they have a branch in the european part i believe
Here is their website: http://www.stetsom.com.br/eng/Sales.aspx

If stetsom is not your cup of tea, i'll also recommend precision power amplifiers...the S2000.1D

I used that amp before and I am very impressed at it's performance, you can use the lighter versions of precision power for the mids too.

Their website isnt working well for me at the moment. keeps crashing giving me cannot connect to server or some crap.

I'll have to keep an eye out and do some more reading.

Just curious, Ever heard of Image Dynamics ? If you have what do you think of their 'Horns' ? My supervisor has some 8"mids, crossovers and horns all for £80. They're used but in as new condition, but from what i have seen the horns go for around $300 on ebay so around £180 ish...

Also, Crystal Audio is another brand ? ever heard of them ? Any good ? He's got 2 crystal audio 12" subs for £100 each and they're brand new. Just looking into seeing if they are anygood and worth getting for futur projects/builds while they're going cheep.

He used to specialize in importing American Qaulity audio equipment mainly and doing car audio builds for people...

Yes.....their amps isn't as stable especially for bass, image dynamics horns are pretty good...but my 18 sounds 10' midbass and RCF drivers can drown those horns easily.

Crystal audio is my pioneering sub that introduced me to spl and sq....my first spl I hit 143.5DB...was very proud of those subs....SQ is one league that crystal audio dominates for their low notes and glass moving basslines
