Ok. Here is tutorial with better pictures.

Tools:
T6 torx
0# phillips srewdriver aka 1/16 phillips screwdriver
soldering iron

materials:
10 0603 smd leds

1.first remove these torx screws
then gently pull apart the chatpad

IPB Image

2.Now unplug the cable

IPB Image

3.Next remove these 5 phillips screws

IPB Image

4. Now push the green circuit board through the front by pushing on these corners.

IPB Image

5. Now lift up on the black tape along the edges and lift the front piece off exposing the LED's

IPB Image

6. Next desolder the current LED's and replace them with what ever color LED's you want. Don't worry if you burn the white film on the board a little bit.

IPB Image

7. Now reassemble the Chatpad and admire your work. (If the black tape doesn't stick back just use some hot glue. )

4. Now push the green circuit board through the front by pushing on these corners.
Is this pushing the face with all the buttons off the shell half?

Is the "black tape" part of the face?
I would love to see a picture of this before I tear apart my chat pad.

Thanks

Nice RDC...sorry I was looking in the wrong section of the sticky's. I was thinking it would be up by the controller mods. Didn't notice you created a separate area for chat pad mods
