Configmagic1.6final Wont Load V1.6epprom On Tsoped V1.0xbox Options

ok I'm tring to make a larger hdd for my bros v1.6b soft-modded xbox with my tsop flashed v1.0 with slayers2.7disc and configmagic1.6final, but the the eeprom.bin from the v1.6 xbox wont load in configmagic on my v1.0xbox
so what Ive done so far

-backed up both xboxs completely to pc. including configmagic epprom backups

-built new hdd for the 1.6 with slayers disc on the v1.0 xbox

-erased the C/ and E/ partitions then ftped the entire C/ and E/ partition from the v1.6 xbox backup

-booted evox boot disk

-ftped configmagic to E/:apps with the epprom.bin from the v1.6 xbox(renamed from EEPROMbackup.bin to eeprom.bin)

-launched configmagic and tried to "load eeprom from .bin" and nothing showed up i the hdd sections

is there something I am doing wrong?
