It can't find a dashboard file.

Boot with Slayers and use it to install UnleashX as your dash. If that doesn't work you need to open the BIOS you flashed with XBtool and see where it is looking for its dash, then boot with Slayers and manually FTP a dash file to that location.

Edit: Just re-read your post. If it won't boot games then you potentially have a bigger problem. Have a look at the BIOS with XBTool, make sure it's configured to boot from D:\default.xbe as one of its sources.

You need take a copy of UnleashX, rename it avalaunch.xbe, and put it at C:\avalaunch.xbe.

The BIOS should boot a game quite happily, so if you can't boot an original game then your DVD drive is faulty. Unfortunately you can't fix your Xbox with a broken DVD drive, so if this is the case then you'll need to replace it (or borrow one temporarily from another Xbox) so you can boot with Slayers ot Frosty's Rescue Disc to get FTP access to install the dash.

No - read the rules - links to copyrighted files aren't allowed. Google Slayers 2.7 or Frosty's Rescue Disc or Auto Installer Deluxe

And don't use DVD+R, use DVD-R - they are more universally readable by Xboxes.
