Competitive Gamer Needs Help! Options

Hello

I brought a XCM Cross Battle Adapter Plus today and its ok for moving around in the menu's but its not good for moving the analog sticks.

As im am a competitive gamer i need a controller with no input lagg/delay etc.

so i read that you can take the pcb chip? out of a ps3 controller and put it in a xbox controller and it works on ps3

if anyone is willing to do this for me i will be most grateful i have a spare ps3 pad to use and i have a wired 360 pad

so basically i want to use the 360 pad on ps3..

if anyone can help me please and i can send you the controller bits. and money if you want it.

That method wouldn't ever work, but the entire guts of the PS3 controller can be swapped into the 360 shell with a good bit of work.

are you sure you can't make 360 pad work on ps3

and you say you cant use the parts in the ps3 pad what about using the parts from this.

is it because of the shape of the parts? that controller works with ps3. apart from you cant turn it on from home button.

maybe im getting the wrong end of the stick do you have msn/aim/skype

First, the way you described it was removing the chip, that method will never work. Secondly I said the guts of the PS3 controller can be put in the 360 controller, not that they can't be.

If you'd check out the link I posted you'd see that the DualShock 3 controller can, and was, placed inside the 360 controller shell. I make the PS360 different from the Ben Heckendorn PS360 as I use the 360 controller board for the button contacts, so nothing changes in how the 360 controller feels for the buttons and such, it's just a shade lighter when it's done is all.

well im not sure how it totally works.. however

is it possible to get the 360 pad to work on ps3 with the stiffness of sticks because the anolge sticks on ps3s are loose i dont mean the curved/convex sticks. the bit that makes it tight or loose. by using the ps3 board i think ur saying.

could you do this for me?

The PS3 controllers use a completely different type of stick now, so the 360 sticks can not be used or swapped straight in there as replacements.

Now technically the sticks from the 360 can be made to work with the PS3 controller, but I've yet to try this and even after doing it there's no way to know what the exact side effects from it will be. The dead zone could be off or it could have limited outside range, or both, or neither and they might work fine, no way to tell until it's done and see how it works.

I can tear the PS3 sticks down and do some spring swapping to get them to stiffen up, and this would be a lot easier to do than trying to get the 360 ones to work with the PS3 board.

I've already tried it. Without having a meter to place on the stick to tell exactly what kind of force it takes, I can't get them 100% like the 360 sticks, but I have already swapped in a different spring and made a PS3 stick a good deal stiffer than it is originally.

The springs from the 360 sticks are too big, and if you can get me a meter to measure the force it takes to move the sticks I'll be glad to test it so it's more accurate than my guess.

I've done some messing with PS3/360 analogs on my PS360 controller trying to figure out a way of swapping parts around and found the easiest way was to stretch the springs some in the PS3 mechanisms.
They were a fair bit stiffer than the 360's at first but after a day or so the springs relaxed and are now on par with a 360 analog stick.

It's a Force Gauge (Newton Meter) and that kind of tool is pretty expensive if it's any good. Going for that kind of accuracy just isn't worth it unless you have money to burn, but if you do and want a $1000 controller feel free to PM me about it, I'm sure I can make it for you.

so you can stiffen the ps3 sticks up...

other option.

make it with a xbox pad shell with ps3 analog sticks because its on the ps3 board. and stiffen them up aswell or keep it same as ps3 stiffness.

how much would you charge for each option? lets ,like just stifferening the ps3 sticks looks like a good option.
