I've been trying to find a how-to and have been searching the forum, but can't find anything specific to this. I am having problems trying to flash my liteon 8 series ver1. Jungleflasher 1.51 will erase the drive but gets write verify failed every time. Makes the computer run real slow at this point and won't detect the drive anymore. I've had to fix with l-o-eras and dosflash and have worked to fix(I had the drive tray half open all those times). The last time I figured maybe I was doing something wrong and tried flashing with the door shut. Erased fine and wrote fine, then failed verify and now won't open the tray. I've tried using l-o-eras but keeps giving me FF80. I can't recover this time. Any ideas? Unscrew the drive and eject manually?

Is there something special I need to do to flash from ixtreme to lt+?
Can dosflash be used to copy the lt+ firmware on an erased drive, or do I have to load ixtreme and use jungleflasher?

Hye if you still get this FF80 statut you could tray to unbrick your drive in Jungle Flahser v0.1.76b
You load your good LT + firmware(with the good key) in target firmware
you did a liteon erase in the good sata port(you have to know it) without powering on the drive(XBOX power on but the drive no & this by inpluging the power cable from the drive ) & once the points appears........when JF try to find the drive you plug-in the power cable to the drive(thse cable with 10 wires) & you could get a beautiful 80 statut but don't care after that you just click on Intro/device ID JF will ask you an OFF/On after puchingg yes so confim than quickly unplug/plug the drive's power cable & you should get the 72 statut with all good informations.....then it's time to write the firmware....

Good luck friend

Sounds like you may have many things mixed up.
Tray position doesn't matter when writing, but does when reading with a uart probe.
In Dos, not windows, l-o-eras port# gives you what?
power cycle the drive after each status 80 and try again until you get 72.
Yes, Dosflash can be used to write CFW created within jungleflasher, to the drive in DOS

I get ff80 after doing l-o-eras c000. I just tried the l-o-eras c000 and power off/on the drive everytime and after 15+ attempts still ff80. My drive does not need a probe, though I do have one.

When I boot windows with drive powered on jf wont detect the sata port
When I boot windows with the drive off jf can detect the port, but as soon as I plug in power to the drive windows locks up.

I have a question that fits to the Headline so I don't want to open a new post.
I have a BenQ with ixtreme 1.6 and updated it to LT+ by using jungleflasher.
But the point is that i had no origninal firmware as source. Is may LT+ now proper or detectable?

It's fine. Anything that contains your Drive Key is OK to use as Source.
