Ps3 Jailbreaking, I have an old ps3 and want to jailbreak. Options

Okay so I have a PS3-80Gb and I want to Jailbreak.
----I was wondering, What the best device to Jailbreak with? The easiest to update, and use. Some one said the PS3key, but I want to make sure.
-----The device always has to be in right? Or is that only for jb with ipod/iphone, cal, and such.
----And is this true? I'm hoping not, but my friend told me you cant use your Bluray Drive anymore? I have alot of Bluray movies and i alway buy new one and I would like to continue watching them.
----Last question- does it have to be update 3.41? What if the ps3 is under that firmware? I only updated once and that was a long time ago.

ps3 break 1.2 is good to use
very simple
Blue ray is only non useable at the moment if you downgrade your system firmware
If you have 3.41 system already you are good to go

over the last couple of months, the ps3 security has been blown open so if you can wait, you can save your money... new hacks/holes/keys have been discovered that will allow scene devs to literally UNLOCK our ps3 consoles with a signed software update from flash disk or cd; and without the need for a jailbreak device.

you may want to buy sometime in future. The ps3 peek /poke syscalls are still uncompatible with current game managers even with the keys being released. The games on 3.55 cfw do not load on the current game managers. SO i wouldn't update your 3.41 right now.

I would just get a jailbreak dongle. It can be had for cheap if you know where to look. like 13-17 shipped from most places. It is well worth it. Those 3.41 are harder to come by now. Good thing you have one.
