Hello, i just picked up a modded xbox off craigslist.
Heres a picture of the chip.

It's set up how it came.

When i boot it up it does the normal xbox green animation then a blue xbox logo (normally green)

after a few second executor 2 will pop up underneath the logo ( i assume because its loaded up )
and then the cd spins up and my game starts.

Audio works fine and it will play through normal adverts and cut-scenes but the picture is chopped up beyond recognition.

the picture only messed up after the xbox logo dissapears and it turns over to the cd content.

i've tried wiggling the cables checking connections.

the box came with component cables that look like HD.
all the colors are lined up correctly on my tv, audio is separated correctly from video etc.

Did i buy a broken box?

Your Xbox is set to a video mode that your TV doesn't support. Boot with a rescue disk (HeXEn, Frosty's, Slayers, AID), then launch C:\xboxdash.xbe and disable HD modes.
