Hi,
I have yet to get an xbox. I was planning on getting a pre-modded xbox from someone because I really don't feel very comfortable with soldering on my motherboard. But now there are the unmodded hacks. I was wondering if it is possible to: 1. Install linux 2. Play normal games 3. Use another dashboard 4. Maybe xbox live support? (Don't know much about this one) I should be able to do all this with a modchip, but is this possible yet with an unmodded box? If it isn't, should it be possible soon? Also, is there a way to do this where I won't have to start 007 everytime I want to use any non-standard software (shouldn't have to if I can use another dashboard)? I read that you can install xbox-linux so it boots everytime by flashing the TSOP on the xbox, but then you can't play games. Is this because it flashs with the Cromwell bios? Can you use another bios so I can boot linux AND play games? I guess I'm starting to sound redundant. Thanx for the help, Rattboi |

None of the modchips will give you Live support. Any other methods as well. That's for sure. At least for now...

Read the index page and the dashboard exploits forums. They now can support evox 2.2 and install linux. In a week or so much more development will occur and programs that will do it for you like always.

Your better off getting the premodded xbox, it will save you alot of trouble and time, besides modchips are better then an exploit anyday.
