Madmab has given us some great updates for the xport emulators. Gillou has made some amazing skins (along with the other graphic designers cbagy, neil222, anyone I missed) Xboxer and guybird have made some great icons (also along with other designers)... What about the background music for these emulators?

The background music that gillou chose for xboyadvance is great! A remix of the original tetris theme. It would be fantastic to have some more great mp3's for other emulators. Mainly I would be looking for kinda heavy remixs or something of the most popular games for that system.

I did find a pretty cool mario bros one that I like for the nes emulator.

Especially the part at 2 mins in. Easily downloaded the mp3 through jdownloader.

I am wondering what other people think. At first I was thinking of just doing game music in its original form, but the remixs are so much more exciting haha.

Just throw in any suggestions, with a link to it on youtube or wherever. And what emulator you think it'd be good with.

Thanks guys!

Brilliant site for remixs. I used to frequent vgmusic to grab midi's and make my own remixs. But since I got my new computer fruity loops no longer works haha.

Any particular remixs you recomend? What music will we have for the next surreal release!?

I went through a lot of these for two Halloweens ago. me and my roommates were Mario, Luigi, and the Princess on the Las Vegas Strip (yea we had a dude princess lol). we made a Yoshi out of a cooler on a wagon that we just totted all our liquor around in. we had a full mini bar in there lol. but anyways we needed a bunch of music. i had an original soundtrack and a bunch of dance remixes for every time we saw another Mario and Luigi we challenged them to a dance off. check it out:

That one for gameboy I enjoyed very much! Along with your mario outfit haha.

I love mario land on GB. Wicked mix of the song, straight into it!

I found one that I enjoyed, but it is totally in the other direction. A straight up piano solo performance.
It's from chrono trigger. A pretty familiar piece. "Yearnings of the wind"

especially the stacatto part which starts at 1:07..

Here's one for sonic. "Green Hill Zone" has always been one of my favourites. The melody in this is kinda subtle but it makes for some pretty good background music. Plus the sonic "spin" is in the song.

Here's another on which is more of a direct mix of "Green Hill Zone".

I'm thinking about using only the first 2:30 of the song for that one.

You gotta check this out. Vixen remix for C64 or any of the other systems it was on! I love this one haha.

Will add more as I come across them.

Thanks for your suggestions!
