Hi guys,

Just want to know how I can adjust my jtag fan speed on my xenon to bring down the cpu heat.

I see there is xex adjustment that can be made, but not sure how to do this???

Cheers in advance

Hi,

If your console is JTAGed the easiest way is to install FreeStyle Dash 2.0 RC1.8 to your 360 hdd, usb hdd or usb memory stick and crank up the fan speed in the settings. Also install and run DashLaunch 2.11 so FSD2 boots immediately the console turns on instaed of going directly to the NXE dash.

If your not JTAGed then you can feed the fans 12v instead of what is gets at present. There is a 12v supply from the dvd power cable. Search for 360 dvd cable pinout to find what wires to use. I read somewhere this isn't safe for live use but cant confirm one way or the other.

Thanks for the reply,

Do the settings stay if you run NXE? I dont need to run the other dash as I am happy with NXE (have no need for homebrew etc). Happy to change the settings, but would then would like not have to worry about having my live profile affected.

jtag and live don't belong in the same sentence tongue.gif Anyhow, the easiest way is to dump your nand and run it through 360_Flash_Tool_v0.97, that will allow you to make permanent changes to your fan speed/temps

I know they dont belong in the same sentence, but I like using one profile. And I would like to keep it clean.
(hence the reason not to use the FSD.)

No probs, looks like I will make a fresh nand dump. Cheers.

Do I really need to re-dump? I still got all the original dumps from all the prior updating 8955->12611.

if you still have your 12611 updflash.bin, just load it in 360 flash tool and change the config
