Take a copy of your eeprom, either using "Copy eeprom to MU", or using FTP.
Then select "Specify Fonts", and pick your kernel version. If you don't know it, try kernel 4034 first, then reboot without Splinter Cell in the DVD drive. (Don't worry, you can always get back to this menu using Splinter Cell). If 4034 doesn't work, repeat the process but select kernel 3944.

When formatting a new HDD, how long does the X:\ drive normally take? It's been roughly 2 hours now without any change. The C:\ and E:\ were pretty quick whereas the F:\ was a little slower (probably because it receives a much larger partition?). I'm using a Toshiba MK6025GAS 60gb drive.

Hi, I have been trying to get this disk to work, every time I put the disk in the Xbox loads up with a green, yellow and red light then it tells me it can't use the disk and it must be a DvD , CD etc but I have burned the iso to a dvd-r at 4x.
Any tips?
My Xbox is a 1.2 - 1.5 not entirely sure. I used a Duo x3 chip.

With the chip on does it:-
Play original Xbox game discs OK?
Play original audio CDs and DVDs OK?
If yes to both then you've at least ruled out a disc drive problem.
However, unfortunately for you this won't be good news because a Xmas tree/fragging (red/yellow/green) front LED is apparently a sign of a chip problem. From your description so far it is behaving as if the machine isn't chipped and that would be my best guess.
I suspect you need specialist advice related to the chip/install so should post about this in the appropriate mod-chip forum or newbie forum, not here.
