Ok, i successfully read my 9504 and got the key etc.
The problem was when i was flashing the drive with LT. The key was properly spoofed into the LT firmware as per the Jungleflasher first tab. It wrote the sectors fine but failed to read them back to verify. Now the drive can't be unlocked again. What next?

it works? if the verification failed doesn't mean that the drive isn't successfully flashed.

That's what i thought at first but i'm getting the "play dvd" bs like the key doesn't match. All three dumps i made match up keywise....i dunno.

One more point. Now, when i hit slim unlock, i get the "resend intro?" prompt with the power off-on deal. I'm assuming it's because it now has LT on it....or part of it. I didn't get that when i waws reading the stock firmware.

I tried the tray half open too, no dice...worth a shot right smile.gif?

I flashed mine using the Via chip and it freeze at writing to bank 1. Now, it won't detect the drive anymore.
sad.gif Is there any program out there that can recover a bad flash on LT 9504 or do i have to wait until Ebay has some LT 9504 drives? This has happen to my Samsung drive before but i was able to recover it by doing the bad flash recovery.

Good thing, i was able to read and extract the key before the writing freezes. Now, i just need a way to do a bad flash recovery on the Liteon 9504.

If you haven't already, you could try:

- Lite-on Erase button
- "Erase" with Slim radiobutton checked
- Go to DOS and do a l-o-eras (that worked well on the phat liteon)

I have same problem like you... flashed 9504, but verification failed. Now i want unlock my drive again without success (l-o-eras, Slim Unlock).

BTW. I have nVidia chipset (no Xbox 360 USB Pro)

How did you unlocked flashed (Slim, LT+) drive?

I just got that same problem as well to verify, but managed to perform the registry fix and write the key by right clicking in the firmtool 32 tab and the proper key was written and it works like a champ

iam in the same boat, dumped my key 3 times, tried flashing, flash failed, now 360 red rings with error 46 with the drive plugged in. jf will not see the drive anymore nor will windows. Ive tired all the steps above but i cannot get the drive back in vendor mode to reflash no matter what. always get status 50 or status 80 when sending intro again. The fix with the reg hack does not work for me as jf cannot see the drive.

any suggestions?

Read my Slim 9504 Key perfectly fine in the latest JF. However, the drive froze while writing, and now my drive won't eject and it freezes in Windows XP whenever I turn it on.

I tried doing the dosflash l-o-eras with a USB Stick, however, it just doesn't seem to work. I am was using VIA6421L when this all went down.

Any ideas guys?
