Same problem here.
Old xbox, no hdmi, samsung ms28 with LT flashed and error 66 after update.
I've tried flashing back to original fw but problem is still there. I've also tried it with a different hard drive and also erasing system cache if for any reason would help but nothing.
Maybe its among the small percent that will have problem with the update as microsoft says.
Any ideas someone?
Thanks

Like Rammieone said, flash back to the original firmware. Then make the update and you should be fine. Also, make sure you have the original drive the xbox came with.
