I recently tried to stream a Blu-Ray movie rip to my Xbox 360 via the wireless network. The resolution is 720p, the video is 3 MB/s, and the audio is 160 KB/S (stereo). The file type is x264 .m4v. There was no other network activity at the time. The video would play smoothly for a few minutes, hang and stutter, and then that process would repeat itself again. Should this type of streaming scenario be feasible? It is not physically possible for both the Xbox 360 and laptop to be connected to the router via Ethernet. Is this most likely a problem with the laptop, the Xbox, or the wireless network? Anything to be done?
