I can't figure out how to get any data on my HD. I can burn executables, but can't figure out how to store anything with the "EvolutionX" dashboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

we usualy just ftp data on to an xbox password and username as default are xbox
You need to configure your networking 1st. Or for games you can just use dvd2hdd which should be under applications. |

Evolutionx doesn't have a file manager, and that's probably why you are struggling. As shambles1980 says you can use FTP to copy files to the Xbox, or use DVD2Xbox as an application (as well as copying games to the hard drive it also has a good file manager, although it won't be under applications until you install it manually, usually in E:\Apps\DVD2Xbox). Alternatively you could upgrade to use UnleashX as your dashboard, or run UnleashX as an application, because UnleashX has a built-in file manager.

Yes, one of the best reason for using UnleashX is its File Explorer, well designed, simple and almost foolproof. It also allows you to open certain important Xbox file types like .xml, that even XBMC's File Manager (at least the version I'm using), the next best alternative, won't do.
