can the new update (the one that erases your modified firmware) get you on live again?
did anyone tried it?

No, once you're banned the only way you can get unbanned is to buy a new Xbox.

The firmware won't change anything. They ban your console's serial number, and you can't change that, nor will it ever change via an update.
