Xbox Having Error Options

Hi everyone!

When I startup my Xbox it doesnt load the EvoX menu, but it shows a green screen with the numbers 16 and 21. So I can't acces my Xbox. I figured out that I have to rebuild C-partition. But I have to unlock my HDD. But the problem is: 'I don't have freakin acces to my eeprom!'

What can I do? Please help!!

try running halo 2 or later windows live enabled game and connect to xbox live and see if that updates your dashboard.
If not then you need to hotswap your drive either to windows and use xplorer360 to update your files.
or hotswap and use xboxhdm to rebuild your softmod.

Its possible that your drive is damaged though And if it is you will need an eeprom reader to make a new disk.

And right after that a black screen with green letters and left top corner of the screen 21, or sometimes 16. So when I put a game it doesnt start. It doesnt enter the dashboard. My xbox console has a mod chip in it.

And about hotswap, I used Xbox HD Maker & Recovery tool but it cant rebuild the C drive. It is disabled because I had to unlock my HDD using some sort of key by using eeprom. So im stuck here.

If I hotswap the HDD to windows will it work using xplorer360?

if that hard disk is unlocked and the eeprom is on there you can just use explorer360 to get the eeprom.
if the hard disk is locked then you have to hotswap and if your hotswaping then the xbox should unlock the drive for you and you can rebuild it with xboxhdm, or by moving files to it in windows using xplorer360.

You can find them on this forum. i do not like to walk peopel through hotswap.

When I hook up my box hdd to my computer, I switch on my computer (while xbox is still on) I open Xplorer360 > find hard drive / memory card. when I click on it it says; cannot find any FATX drive.

Please help?!?

Which chip do you have in your Xbox?

Thats a pretty harsh question, one of these three:
-DuoX2
-Xecuter 2.6
-xecetuter 3


I've got an DuoX2 modchip.

What's harsh about it?

If you have a DuoX2, try booting with the other bank - it might have a better BIOS on it, one that bypasses Error 16. If it does then you can use HeXEn (or one of the older boot discs) to rebuild your hard drive.

I've burned HeXen on disc but when I put it in my xbox it doesnt start up. The only thing I see is the X Xbox logos in blue and the logo of microsoft. Any help???

Does the BIOS on the second bank boot past Error 16 if you don't have HeXEn in the drive?

Did you burn the HeXEn iso image to DVD-R at 4x or slower using an iso image burner?

The only thing it shows is the Xbox logos as usual and the Linux logo. My mistake..

I've burned the ISO file using ImgBurn. Speed: 2X And on a DVD+R And i found out that I have a Samsung drive. So do I need to burn it to a DVD-R ? Will that solve the problem?

Usualy when i burn xbox games on DVD+R i had no problem playing them.

Also the front LED changes from green to red. When seeing the Llinux and Xbox screen.

DVD-R is the most universally readable drive format, so it's worth a try, although I'm not too hopeful that it will work.

Are you sure your disk is locked?

Yes the reason why i think that my HDD is locked is that i tried XboxHDmaker and recovery tool to make a new C partition orso, but these functions were disbabled.

Here a list of error codes:

When put a game in the console i get error 21.
When put the HeXen disc it freezes were it shows the logos.
When put no disc it will give error 13.
