The Maximus Stinger JTAG Add-on board

Hate the word JTAG as the SMC only use the port GPU_JTAG, in which did not use the features for J.T.A.G. at all really.

The word JTAG is gonna be misused a lot with this new hack. Possibly because it has the ability to grab peoples attention.

You still grab/program the NAND through JTAG...right?!

I think the name was used to attract more people to this product. I have a question though regarding the credits part, is any of the people mentioned involved with maximus?!

It all ready did with the OLD exploit.

It is all jester's fault with the MW2, that the term has been used incorrectly.

No. You use the SPI bus to read/write the NAND.

great news, but "the Stinger can also be used in conjunction with any other USB Nand flashing devices" means that will be compatible with a USB SPI module to flash the CMOD ?? Or only 360 nand flasher, usb jtag cable, nand-x...

If I'm not mistaken, any of these new devices should be "compatible" with any way you have to read the nand from a 360. It seems that either way, it consists of two parts:
  1. Read/Write NAND
  2. "scatty McBoogerballs"

(With "scatty McBoogerballs" meaning either your JTAG port is wired w/ resistors or diodes, or that you have the board for the reset glitch).

Lol. Life breathed into homebrew x360s again. i wonder if the nand flasher wireset is used in programming the new Stinger. I bet the access points on the back of the nandflasher are test points to hook up a simple interface to reprogram the nandflasher to be able to flash the X2C264a. then of course, Max will release the qsb's for the new wiring required for this glitch hack
