Microsoft Finally Beat Us? - New Firmware Update And Now Unable To Pla Options

Hey all ... looking for some help......

MY young fella .... just got a new game "Rugby Challenge"

It asked him to do an update - We do not use MS Live ..... I did a burn of his new game .... and since it is so new ... there are no stealth patches avaliable online .....
It came up with "Play DVD" when I put the burnt game in .....

SO I turned the machine off and inserted an original... then is read fine ....

I put in a known good backup that we play all the time (OBLIVION) ... and that also now says "PLAY DVD" - then put in an original ... and it reads it fine.

I am running Lite + (not sure of version) - Should I upgrade to a newer version of Xtreme lite?

Any advise?

Before when I did a abgx360 patch check it came up with all ok ... except the SS bin was not avaliable in the database.....

10 minutes later ... it comes up with this.....

This is probably a new xgd3 format game.

Driver and Dead Island have already been confirmed to have this new XGD3 format so I think it's going to be the norm for all new releases going forward.

We will all have to wait until C4E makes LT+ v 2.0 and finds a write solution before we can begin backing up (and playing) XGD3 games.

@OP it flashed the drive, to MS new standard Firmware.

Reflash it back.

Yep. As stated, that update flashed the drive back to a new stock firmware, disabling the ability to run backups. Reflash to lt+1.91

Oh, and as far as your topic title "Microsoft Finally Beat Us?"... Far from it sir, now that the reset glitch hack has been discovered! Interesting times are ahead

I completely overlooked the dashboard update... Boy do I feel stoopid. I have XGD3 on the brain.

In any case Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is in fact confirmed to NOT be XGD3 so the other members are indeed correct. You just need to reflash your drive (after dumping it again) with ix LT+ 1.91.

you have to recheck and repatch all your backups to work on the newdash board did it to me on blackops i had to patch it to the v2 just so it would work
