The question I ask is: Is this a necessary update? I just flashed a half dozen consoles in the last few days and I'm not real keen on reflashing them.

Ya i'm too in the same boat, i've flashed a few 360's over the last few weeks and don't know if its worth doing this update or waiting for the LT+ 2.0 and is this for just slim drives or others as well.

Great to hear! Thx to all involved..
Just a question though:
Can anyone in the know confirm that the rootkit for 0272 is now fixed, i.e. not broken\flakey whatever...

On a different note,
Just have to wait and see whether the XGD3 can be handled through CFW, otherwise Reset Glitch - Here I come! biggrin.gif

I am with you there. I dont want to reflash several consoles unless it is really necessary. Hopefully more information will come out about this. I am personally waiting for 2.0 before I reflash again, but if 1.92 is important, then I guess I will have to do it.

As always it's recommended to use the latest available firmware for your drive.

If you would have found a rare drive, you would have noticed and this update would have been a must have.

If drive functions fine, well, decide yourself, but we recommend to update it!

Of course it is, it says it right in the first line of the very small article. Read a little.

Great work to everyone involved and thank you!

I have a PHAT Lite-On on 1.91, do I have to update? I really don't feel like taking apart my console again.

From the Topic

"C4E released the iXtreme LT+ v1.92 CFW for SLIM DG-16D4S drives"

if you have a phat model I do not believe there is a firmware to update to, as this firmware is slim specific.

This is a good link to keep track of firmware version for your drive.
