Hi all,

With these custom consoles such as Gears of war and Star wars, i was wondering if with the reset glitch if it would be possible to put custom sounds for the start and eject sounds.

Just a thought smile.gif

That would be pretty cool, even the MW3 console has custom sounds.

If I remember what I read/saw correctly, the slims that have these customised sounds, have an extra speaker inside, and there is some sort of chip on the RF board where the sounds are stored.

So do you not think it would be changeable then?

Not the RF but a chip underneath the dvd rom area.

Anybody have any photos of this? I heard once could potentially buy one of those hallmark cards with a recordable sounds. Not sure where I heard that though(probably on IRC) so who knows.

it would be possable, but you might need to buy a new chip to flash the sounds into
as they are stored in a chip on the board that has the power on button IIRC.

but if you do this MS might know when you connect to live and then ban you.

im suprised that no one has been able to get "custom" sounds for poweron and eject disk yet.
it cant be as complex as a glitch hack right?

I talked about this when the halo reach console cam out. I had pics of both a normal slim "buzzer" come compared to the "speaker chip". The sounds are not on the system files they are hardware related and can be change without getting banned like adding a fan. The sent to the speaker seems to determent which sound is made. I never took the time to find out if that's true. I was going to desolder the "buzzer" and put it on the reach console but never got around too it.. The reach console was sold as a RGH console. So I don't have it anymore. If you going to do custom sounds i'd read more about them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buzzer and may http://www.fbelebuzzer.com/ can help as well.
