Need Help With Dead Island Blood Ties Quest Options

I am stuck at the pure blood quest in dead island, the part where you are escorting the shaman and the autosave is right when there are 5 walkers, a butcher, and a thug. I am out of ammo, no grenades/molotovs or anything. I can run away and build up my rage and repair weapons but that's not enough. I'm looking for someone to join a co-op game with me to help me beat this. it will have to be through xbconnect/xlink/hamachi or some other lan simulator because I dont have xbl. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

I assume this is on your JTAG due to your connectivity requirements.

Normally, I do not advocate the following, but I've made a personal exception due to the questionable (development?) autosaves of this game.

Grab data0.Pak from the DI folder.
Open it up with your favorite archiver
Browse into data/Skills
Open up charname_levels.XML
Change the max health for your level to 9999.
Save that file in the archive.
Drop that archive back into place on your 360's gamedir.

And once you've beaten that section and reached the random autosave, undo the change you made.

I did this after a respawn landed me on another part of the island (never visited) , right in the middle of a fight I couldn't have been prepared for.

Or just go to another part of the map, stock up on molotovs, guns etc etc then restart the mission - thats what i did to get past this defect in the game.
