Ok, so I've been trying to read guides and etc. about how to make backups. My issue is nothing speaks about doing it from a laptop. So that either means 1) I'm VERY limited compared to what everyone else can do, or 2) You can't do them on a laptop.

Someone please confirm if it's #2 so I can call it a day :\, or tell me #2's wrong and make my day! biggrin.gif

If you want to rip a game, purchase a liteon or benq. Find a SATA to USB adapter. Find a way to power your drive. Google it.

Some people have had success with a usb to Sata adapter that sells for like $40 (someone in another thread said they sell them for that shipped). Most people use the x360usb which is like $65 shipped.

You'll need either a benq or liteon flashed with LT3.0 0800 firmware (about $35 shipped)

You'll need a way to power the benq/liteon. A connectivity kit such as a ck3 or maximus unit and a molex power unit that plugs in the wall and then into ck3 or maximus. These items will cost about $40 combined.

And lastly xbox backup creator the latest version as well as imgburn. (free)

Good luck it isn't that hard.

Yahoo it if you can't figure out how it all works.
