I'm a little lost on this site and some guidance would be amazing right now.
Basically I have a V1.0 xbox modded with NDure 3.1. I went out and bought a 500gb HD that works with my xbox and the sata to ide board that fits in the back of the HD.
How do I get it all working though. I can use FTP or disk, doesn't matter just need a little guidance.

Get The eeprom from the xbox; create a mew xboxhdm disk with the eeprom. Format the hard drive using xboxhdm and lock it. Dont worry about formatting F/G drives now. After you create the xbox hard drive; plug it in the xbox and see if it works. If your xbox boots; use "Xbox partition tools" software ( found in xbins) to format the F and G drive.

You can also use xboxhdm to clone your original drive to the new one. That way you'll have everything that's already there. You need your eeprom so you can lock the drive. It won't work until it's locked with the right eeprom.

Alternatively, or if you don't have a PC with an IDE port, then you can use lxhdm to build the new disk in your Xbox. HeXEn (Google Heimdall's Xbox Engineering Disk) has a scripted lxhdm implementation with on-line help - all you need is an external power source (e.g. an external disk enclosure or a PC) for the new disk.

Thanks for all the info. Got a problem though.
I'm using a SATA drive and have an IDE to SATA adapter.
Plugged my HDD into the computers IDE with the adapter and ran xboxhdm with my eeprom and c and e drive files burnt to the disk.
Pressed 3 when it started and did unlockhd -a
Harddrive is unlocked.
rebooted
Went though and made a new hd from scratch with option one when I get to the xboxhd menu. got the F drive, coped C and E drive files over.
Went back though copied all my eeprom info.
rebooted
Pressed 3 and did lockhd -a pressed yes and only 2 of the 5 things that popped up said yes about the security.
Put the drive in the xbox, loads up to the xbox splash screen. Then it goes to that screen that shows that the xbox has a problem in all different languages.
