Mookdog

The evox.ini file that is/was packaged with pbl has the wrong 'Run DVD' command in it. Replace the one that is there with:

Item "Launch DVD",ID_Launch_DVD

The reason the one in that .ini doesn't work is because the disk isn't recognized when evox loads so the option is 'redded' out. The code above doesn't check to see if it's there, it just tries to run it anyway.

Ok, just tried this on a 1.3 xbox, runing into problems tho.

Sucessfully copied over the ST.db file and linux.xbe

Ran xbox, loaded exploit and linux came up.

grabbed the ST.db from the xbox, hexed it as needed and put it back on.

Signed my evoxdash.xbe with xbedump -habibi and renamed it back to linux.xbe and placed it in E:/ along with my evox.ini

However now, when I boot up with an audio CD in and run the exploit, Xbox seems to "reboot" (as it did when loading the linux) but goes back to the same audio screen and starts playing the CD again instead of loading Evox dash.

What have I done wrong here?

Thanks In Advance.

Wrong, you need to do this command:

xbedump evoxdash.xbe -audio

the -habibi command is for the 007 gamesave exploit and not for the audio exploit...

Ok, I did it again, this time signing the evoxdash.xbe with -audio and putting it into E:/ again.

Same thing, try to run the exploit, MS dash reloads and starts playing the audio CD again.

What have I done wrong? Am I correct in thinking that the renamed evoxdash.xbe (renamed to linux.xbe) should be in the root of E:/ along with my evox.ini.

Or should they be in C:/ ?

Thanks again

why would you even bother with a audio exploit? - UDE is simply the best you can use - by bringing up this year old thread - u might be confusing new people to the exploit scene on what to use, so again - Use the UDE/UDE2
