C4E's iXtreme LTplus v2.0 for FAT Hitachi drives
Posted by XanTium | November 26 19:57 EST | News Category: Xbox360
C4E released the iXtreme LT+ v2.0 CFW for all versions of the Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L drive ('FAT Hitachi'):
C4E's iXtreme LT+ in association with Team Jungle & Team Xecuter
Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v2.0 for Hitachi drives - Support for XGD3 ixtreme backups using LT-MAX for maximum capacity on standard DVD+R DL discs. - Support for large capacity DVD+R DL media (no errors when burning)
About upcoming iXtreme LT+ 3.0 - released after December 6th Originals will need to be analysed by XBC to gain disc topology data. This data replaces the need for ap25/dae.bin data and enables any ap25 challenge to be answered correctly. The topology data method is very efficient using only 24k and is very accurate. Each title will need its own topology data as there are differences between titles, even xgd3 titles and backups can be detected if the same topology data is used between titles. Backups will remain the same layout but will need the new topology data inserted by the new abgx or re-dumped with the new XBC for xgd2/ap25 or xgd3 titles. Non ap25 titles will remain unchanged
Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process. Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.
I've had an Hitachi sitting waiting patiently for this whilst 3.0 is released for my current Liteon. Thank you very much C4eva. I honestly wish I could shake your hand but I'm sure a donation is sufficent. You deserve every ounce of respect.

Thanks C4eva!
I assume we can only use this though for backups if the 360 has not been on live since 11-16. I have an old samsung ms28 that is in the preview program and played and xgd3 title fine for a while after the 16th, but then when I fired it up on the 23rd I got the unrecognized disc error as eveyone else has. So I assume MS must be doing some new CIV checks or something else that doesn't fully rely on AP2.5 data to stop all AP2.5/xgd3 backups from running on any 360.
In any case this firmware is probably the hardest to test & code given the large number of drive revisions and the fact that you can't buy fat 360's anymore. SO, with that said, many props to C4 and his team for pushing this firmware out despite the fact that LT+ v3.0 is already in the works.
I appreciate all your free, hard work and wait patiently for LT+3 to be perfected. Take as much time as you need. Better to get it right the first time!

i flushed a 46 and five 47s but all of these didnt work correctly. they cant handle xgd3 backups. xgd2 backups are fine. all xgd3 backups were burned by Burner Max and Verbs, works perfect with Benq LT2.0 and Sammy LT2.0.1
