Christmas Lights Error Code? Options

Hi all, I have a Xenon here that a buddy of mine (against my advice) sent to ms for repairs a long time ago without restoring the drive firmware to stock. They sent it back to him with this weird alternating 2-green 2-red LED error. It collected dust, then tonight I thought I'd give it a go with a nand-x. Sure enough, its jtaggable and everything was successful: reading the cpu key, flashing freeboot...but now when booted with the power button it STILL gives that weird error. Is there anything I can do with this? Has anyone seen this error? Maybe if I compare the nand.bin with another 16Mb xenon nand and look for differences? Or would the source of the error be coming from somewhere else?

I believe that means it has a bad KV. And you will have to use a donor nand.

Thanks for the reply, bud. Interestingly, the kv looks fine in Flash Dump Tool. So I guess I should take a donor nand.bin and overwrite some of this one, leaving the unique info like cpu key etc. intact? I wonder what hex start/end should be overwritten with hex from the donor...
Edit: Still researching, it seems BestPig's tool/hash checks remove option/pre-built freeboot might be the answer.

I'm confused now: I found Best Pig 2.7a with the Hash Check Removal box.

Case 1: Used the nand I read from the box, created freeboot with hash check removed: Power button boots into Xell, not the dashboard. ???

Case 2: Used a donor nand from another Xenon, created freeboot with hash check removed: Power button again boots to Xell and tells me I'm using the wrong KV, displays the CPU key that was read from the box.

Questions: Why are the power button and eject both booting into Xell, and why didn't the donor nand work? Hey at least its no longer Christmas lights :-)

Edit: Had to check "My console do not have a dvd drive" Its aliiive :-D
