Will modding my xbox360 jeopardize the life of the lens of my console (OR) in other words, does modding make the lens of my console susceptible to any damage over the long haul?

Any help will be highly appreciated.. love.gif

No, if you mod your 360 there is of course a case over the DVD drive. If you decide to mod the drive, there is no damage that will be done. I have done many 360's without a single problem to the lens.

There is some extra wear because the lens has to work a bit harder to read burnt games. Fortunately the replacement lenses are dirt cheap on eBay. If you can mod a drive. You can replace a lens. it pretty easy.
