How To Dump My Xbox 360 Games Options

Ok Im not new to console modding but I was using my toshiba dvd with kreon firmware to dump the games but now I cant seem to get any software to work and read the games.I am trying to backup saints row the third...what dvd drive do I need in order to read the games again and dump them so i can burn them?

You'll need either a BenQ or LiteOn drive with 0800 firmware v3 to dump newer games. These new games are XGD3, which is not dumpable with Kreon firmware and not burnable with standard burners. To burn the games, you'll also need a specific burner flashed with LT Burner Max firmware as the images are much larger and require some trickery to fit onto burnable media.

Make sure you also have the newest version of LT+. Without it these won't work.

Kreon Obsolete W/ Xgd3?

i still use my kreon and i think it may also be possible to turn the image into a burnable image, but that is beyond my concerns.

thx for the info guys...where would one find a dvd drive with the 0800 firmware? I am going to pick up a new burner in the meantime...any way to run my xbox360 dvd with the latest firmware on it and extract via that?

Unfortunately not.

Any 360 BenQ or phat LiteOn drive will work for 0800 firmware. It's as easy to flash as regular firmware, if not easier.

you can buy a liteon for $25 from dealxtreme, but it may take a few weeks to arrive.

i purchased a controller from them in early january that arrived yesterday, but i paid for the xk3y on black friday and it finally arrived last week...

I would obviously need both right? I need a liteon ihas to burn my games but also need a new dvd rom with the 0800 firmware to read them....I saw the writers already...Is there a liteon dvd rom that I can buy with the 0800 firmware on it?

you can get one in the bst section... imagine it will cost at least $45 with shipping, but just post a WTB post there and people will jumping over eachother to be the first to make a deal with you.

ok so the burner is covered now in need of a dvd rom with the 0800 firmware on it....the drive has to be a benq or liteon? are these drives xbox 360 drives converted for use with a pc or can you buy these kinds of dvd roms in a store and flash your own firmware to it? Newb questions I know...Im not new to modding but am lost with these new requirements to rip my games.

They must be drives from 360 consoles. Some online stores sell them, but you can't find them at retail stores.

hmmm well I have lots of spares but is there a way to convert the power for use with my pc? I can flash them no problem.....its just to power them now...does everyone use some kind of conversion? or run them from 360 pro and power via usb?
