I have an old 360 with a moded v0078 Hitachi drive in it. I have updated to the latest dashboard and as I have read online it did not flash the drive. I have never taken this 360 online ever while it has been moded. If I wanted to use it now as an unmodded 360 on live I guess I would still have to flash the drive back to stock first.

Are there any chances that after I have returned this back to stock the console could still be banned if I take it online again?

Yes, the console may be flagged for a ban or maybe not. Check using Xval. My guess is that you are probably fine considering since MS doesn't ban much these days.

Xval is a program to check security events that may have occurred on the console. It's very easy to use.

ok, thanks for the advice.

How does Xval work to decrypt the dashboard value. Is it decrypted locally or does it refer back to something via the net?
