Hey biggrin.gif

I have bought a falcon with a benq drive for rgh hack, however the dvd drive auto ejects when I power on, then there is a odd sound from the drive. I have disassembled my xbox but there is nothing to see.

The dashboard just says Opening, if I press the eject/insert button then it says Closing for a moment then Opening.

Does somebody have an idea how to fix this, or if it's even possible without replacing the drive?
If not, then all I gotta do is connect a jumper from 4 to 6 to remove the dvd drive, right?

It's a nice thing to have, but not necessary for rgh hack. The dvd drive hasn't been tempered with.

Thanx in advance rolleyes.gif

Odd sound from the drive? Like the motor is trying to spin?

Sounds like there could be a short in the power connector (shorting out the eject pin), does the cable look in good condition?

Yeah. The AC power connector looks good, also the power to the dvd drive.

Simple solution: Buy a replacement drive.

Yes it is, but I figured if there was a quick fix I should check it out first.
