I've noticed people selling dual bootable slims for almost twice as much as a dual bootable fat system. Is really worth paying that much more for a slim that takes at least 10-30 secs longer to boot with?

If you are dual booting you likely want to go on Live. The latest update that is required to get on Live disables RGH on phats, but Slims are able to still do a RGH with the update installed.

I would buy a fat, because the Team RGLoader is working on it eheh ^^
If I purchase a slim dual NAND W/ Cygnos V2 can I still play on Live? It's not going to kill me if I can't play online for a few weeks just as long as I can update/patch & eventually play online.

I would go with a slim. It will play online now as for the Phats there is no telling when the fix will come.
