There is a limitation on Xbox Linux and the size of the FATX partitions. I know the Linux setup in Mugen can't handle it, but it should be able to read E. Maybe ldotsfan knows something..?

There is a limitation on Xbox Linux and the size of the FATX partitions. I know the Linux setup in Mugen can't handle it, but it should be able to read E.

There are many bundles of XMugen, some with xromwell and others with xbeboot, you can do a search for xbeboot and xmugen. xromwell is hard coded to read a fixed size E FATX partition at a given offset of the hdd. xbeboot uses kernel thunks and may work with a large sized F partition. Among the many unfinished projects I had, the code merge between xbeboot and xromwell is one of them. When xbox linux bootloader moved from xbeboot to cromwell/xromwell, it lost the ability to load the kernel from the same directory as the xbe. I attempted to merge back the 1.6 video stuff from cromwell back to the xbeboot but failed to complete the project - a mess of compilation errors that I didn't have the time to resolve. It would have lifted the bootloader limitation facing not just xmugen but any xbox linux distro and possiblity allow a xbox linux distro to reside in a 32K/64K FATX partition on F/G.

If somebody else wants to have a go at this, I can upload the source code of my attempt.
