Hello !

Tried to google this, but im confused about the PS_ON and PS_OK for original PSU.

My goal is to powerup the psu to get a moldex powered, (12,5 grnd) to give power to my "molex-moded" 360 next to it.
Is it possible to power up the psu, but not the Xbox through a switch ?

If it is, should i connect 3.3V (through switch) to PS_ON or PS_OK ?

This solution is smoother than using a ATX PSU, and cheaper than buy an new 360-PSU

Thanks smile.gif

Well i dont know about the PS ON/ PS OK but when i use my PSU as a tester for my PC mod i take the 20 connection, look for the green and any black connection. The green line is a 3.3v on switch. I dont know the term but it makes sure the PSU connection is on the mobo before it actually works.

I dont know if this helps :/ sorry if it doesnt

Hours and hours with google...

Switch TO ATX-PSU is there a ton of tuts... but this was harder i guess biggrin.gif

Anyway...

referring to http://pinouts.ru/Game/xbox_power_pinout.shtml and 20 pin connector

My conclusion is that
PowerOK (pin 10) is just safety... can be excluded
PowerON (Pin 20) is the pin that power the psu up from standby.

After a lot of reading about atx-psu:s, but the opposite way...

I would be able to get the power on through hotwire the 3.3v (pin 15) to powerON And the powerOK is (for me) useless

If anyone knows that im wrong... stop me NOW.. i gonna try (or fry) this tomorrow rolleyes.gif

FYI:
My thoughts was correct...

3,3 v standby (Pin15) connected to Power_ON (pin20) power up the psu
