Well, yes and no... I ordered afew of them nearly a week ago, installed one on a falcon but the board pooped out on me. So, i broke out a jasper board and installed the chip. Now this version 2 of the matrix is a definite time saver, having come with preflashed with unique code for each revision (zephyr, falcon, opus, jasper). The downside to this, is that these codes cant guarantee that you will get a boot. It took over a dozen times to boot xell twice and after i flashed freeBOOT, the sucker wont boot at all...
So in the end i swallowed my pride and ordered the matrix usb programmer. Is this a conspiracy to get the scene to shell out more cash on a product that will get you past an obstacle that should not be there in the first place? (it is version 2.0, after all).
My guess is "no".
In my opinion, not all Xbox 360s are created equal. Every mobo is going to react differently, and this is the matrix teams first attempt at providing the scene with a fully preprogrammed chip. My hats off to them!
