Xmugen 2 Player Help Options

I am trying to play Xmugen on my Xbox 2 players but cannot get it to work. I have been using this walkthru that I have found on here but it does not work. Xmugen just doen't read the other controller plugged in.

This is the walkthru I used and could not get 2 players to work any advice will be greatly appreciated.

i CHANGED THE BOLD PART TO 1, THEN I COPIED THE BUTTON CONFIGURATION I HAD FOR CONTROLLER 1 AND PASTED IT ON CONTROLLER TWO SO THEY WOULD BE IDENTICAL.

AFTER LOADING MUGEN WITH MY PLAYER 2 CONTROLLER..."I FIND THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY THE TWO CONTROLLERS DIDNT LOCK UP"....I FOUND THAT IT CONTROLLED BOTH PLAYER 1 AND TWO (CONSEQUENTLY MUGEN WOULD MOVE 2 SPACES FOR EVERY TIME I PRESSED DOWN ONCE".....AFTER THIS I WENT INTO THE MUGEN INPUT OPTIONS WITHIN THE GAME.......SELECTED THE "CONFIG ALL" UNDER PLAYER 2........THIS IS WHEN I PICKED UP MY OTHER CONTROLLER...AND PUT IN THE THE BUTTONS. AFTERWARDS I HIT ESCAPE.......THE PLAYER ONE CONTROLLER NO LONGER CONTROLLED BOTH PLAYER 1 AND 2. tHEY WERE INDEPENDENT OF EACH OTHER.
tHEN I WENT TO VS MODE....AND IT WORKED..I HAD TWO CHARACTERS...FIGHTING EACH OTHER USING TWO DIFFERENT CONTROLLERS

ABOVE YOU HAVE THE 2ND MUGEN CONFIG I HAD (THE FIRST WAS THE ORIGINAL BEFORE I COPIED PLAYER 1 TO PLAYER 2)....i SAVED MY NEW MUGEN CONFIG(CONFIG NUMBER 3 NOW)....AND HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS....

NOTICE THE NUMBERS UNDER PLAYER TWO....ITS IN THE THIRTIES AND 40S......NOW..IN THEORY...IF YOU ALL HAVE 2 CONTROLLER S'S LIKE I HAVE..YOU CAN JUST USE MY MUGEN.CFG.....OTHERWISE MY LITTLE METHOD SHOULD WORK........YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO IT ONCE......AFTERWARDS....PLAYER ONE AND 2 WILL ALWAYS WORK....

I still haven't gotten this to work 2 players. So still looking for help.

What build of Xmugen do you have?

Xmugen only works with S-Controllers:

are you sure both of your controllers are of these kind ?
PS: "illegal imitations" of that controller don't work on Xmugen.

That is not true. I use wireless logitech controllers when playing xmugen and they work just fine, in fact most controllers will work just fine. Maybe a few out there will not.
