First time poster.

I had my DVD drive replaced at a back alley video game place, And when i updated, it stopped halfway through, and now whenever i turn on the 360, It tries to update, But eventually throws an error code. Its the same thing over and over, I tried to do the $softwareupdate thing, But i had no success with that either.

I hear the dvd drive is linked to the mobo, And changing it will do this?

Any ideas?

Error Code 3151-351f-b800-0402-c000-0001

Its a Hitachi Drive model GDR-3120L X800475-014 Rom Ver 0078FK

Thanks, Schwinny.

Flash the drive to stock then finish the update from the retail version of that game.

Since your system has been modified, I recommend updating to the latest version of Firmware, just to be sure. You can find it at: xbox.com/support. Let us know if you've been able to fix it!
